Trainspotting – Baby Withdrawal scene

I really like the angles and the simple lighting that is being used in this scene. I like the sudden changes in camera angle because it really emphasises the way that Renton (the man in the bed) feels as he is going through his withdrawal stage. Within the scene you can see that the shots are quite long and do not change suddenly at the start and as his symptoms get worse throughout it, you can see that there are a lot more angle and shot changes, increasing how surreal it feels to the viewer. throughout the entire film the colours are mostly quite saturated, but in this scene there is a lot of colour especially on the walls and for the door of his old bedroom.
